At OrangeHomes and Orange Decor, we aim to make your experience seamless, whether you’re designing your dream space or shopping for home decor. If you need to cancel a project or an order, we’re here to help with a clear and fair process. Below, we’ve outlined our cancellation policies for OrangeHomes interior design projects and Orange Decor home decor purchases.
OrangeHomes Interior Design Projects
Our interior design projects involve personalized planning and execution. Here’s how cancellations work based on your project’s stage:
Booking Stage (Within 48 Hours)
- Eligibility: You can cancel within 48 hours of paying the booking fee.
- Refund: 100% of the booking fee will be refunded.
- Process: Contact us at support@orangehomes.com or through your customer dashboard to request cancellation.
Design in Progress
- Definition: This stage involves active collaboration with your designer to finalize home designs, before the Sales Order is raised.
- Eligibility: No cancellations are allowed after 48 hours from the booking fee payment.
- Refund: No refund of the booking fee, as it covers your designer’s time and effort in creating initial pitches and quotations.
- Modifications: You can add, remove, or replace products in the tentative quotation during this stage.
Sales Order Raised
- Definition: The final Sales Order is raised after you pay 35% of the order value, mobilizing our team and delivering the first phase of materials to the site.
- Eligibility: No cancellations, replacements, or modifications are allowed.
- Refund: No refunds are provided, as resources have been allocated and work has begun.
Execution
- Definition: Site work has started, and execution materials or designs have been delivered.
- Eligibility: No cancellations, replacements, or modifications are allowed.
- Refund: No refunds are provided at this stage.
Installation
- Definition: Laminate work is in progress, or products are ready for fixing or installation.
- Eligibility: No cancellations, replacements, or modifications are allowed.
- Refund: No refunds are provided. You are obligated to pay the remaining balance of the Sales Order value.
Booking Fee
- Amount: The booking fee is 5% of your projected quote or ₹20,000, whichever is higher, paid to secure OrangeHomes’ services.
- Purpose: This non-refundable fee (except within 48 hours) covers initial design work and planning.
- Payment: Paid at the start of your project via secure methods outlined in our Payment Policy.
Orange Decor
Shopping for home decor with Orange Decor is easy and flexible. Here’s how cancellations and returns work for your online purchases:
Order Cancellation (Before Dispatch)
- Eligibility: You can cancel your order before it is dispatched from our warehouse.
- Refund: 100% of the order amount will be refunded to your original payment method.
- Process: Contact us at support@orangedecor.com or through your account on the Orange Decor website within 24 hours of placing your order.
- Timeline: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after approval.
Returns (After Delivery)
- Eligibility: You can return most items within 7 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
- Non-Returnable Items: The following cannot be returned:
- Customized or personalized items (e.g., made-to-order decor).
- Items marked as “final sale” or “non-returnable” at purchase.
- Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling.
- Refund: Eligible returns will receive a full refund of the item price, excluding shipping costs, to the original payment method.
- Process:
- Initiate a return through your Orange Decor account or by emailing support@orangedecor.com.
- Package the item securely and ship it back using the provided return label (if applicable).
- Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect the item.
- Return Shipping: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.
Replacements
- Eligibility: If you receive a defective or incorrect item, you can request a replacement within 7 days of delivery.
- Process: Contact support@orangedecor.com with your order details and photos of the issue. We’ll arrange a replacement at no additional cost.
- Timeline: Replacements will be shipped within 5-7 business days, subject to availability.
How to Request a Cancellation or Return
- For OrangeHomes Projects:

Important Notes
- OrangeHomes Projects: After 48 hours from booking, the booking fee is non-refundable, and no cancellations are permitted once the Sales Order is raised. You must honor the outstanding Sales Order balance during installation.
- Orange Decor Orders: Cancellations are only possible before dispatch, and returns are subject to the 7-day window and item condition requirements.
